The question isn't whether your people use AI. It's what they're pasting into it.

Shadow IT needed someone to install software, so it left traces. Shadow AI needs a browser tab. Support, engineering, legal, finance and HR can each be pasting something into a chat window today, with no record that it ever left the building.

Banning it doesn't work. People use AI because it saves them time, and a ban pushes it onto personal phones and personal accounts, where you can see even less.

This webinar is about the other option: find out what's in use, decide what data may go where, and make the approved route the easy one.

Who it's for

  • Owners and executives who suspect staff already use AI and want to know what to do about it
  • IT and security leads who've been asked to do something about ChatGPT
  • Managers in legal, finance, HR or operations whose teams handle sensitive data
  • Companies with no approved AI tool yet, which means whatever is in use is unofficial

What you'll be able to do

  • Find out which AI tools your people already use, without turning it into an investigation
  • Sort your data into three actions for AI: block it, remove it, or swap it for a placeholder
  • Explain to your leadership why a ban pushes the problem out of sight
  • Pick a first step for Monday: a usage check, a one-page rule or an approved tool

Taught by Justin Donnaruma

Justin builds AI governance and security platforms, and has spent more than two decades in cybersecurity and emerging technology. He teaches every session himself, live, from Topsham, Maine.

The security and governance material comes from building these systems, not from reading about them.

Questions

We haven't approved any AI tools. Is this for us?

Especially. If nothing is approved, whatever is in use is unofficial, and this is how to find out what that is.

Is this about a particular product?

No. It's vendor-neutral, and no product is taught or sold, including AOCyber's, where Justin is Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. It's 45 minutes of teaching. The last two minutes point to the next session and a 20-minute call, and that's the whole pitch.

Will I get the slides?

Yes, after the session, with the reading list behind the topic.

Which AI tool do I need?

Whichever you already have: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot, on any plan. Sessions are vendor-neutral.

What if I can't make it?

This date is inside the 14-day window, so if you can't come you get credit for the full amount toward a later date. Your seat can go to a colleague any time before the session starts. Reply to your confirmation email with their name and email, and they get their own link.

What if not enough people register?

This date runs at 8 paid seats. We confirm on Wed, Oct 28; if it doesn't run you choose a refund or another date.

Is it recorded?

No. Sessions are not recorded. Ask the question you'd only ask in the room.

What does the $25 credit cover?

Every $25 intro or webinar comes with a code for $25 off any paid session or private booking of $100 or more, within 60 days.

Who am I paying?

Don't Panic Consulting, Inc. sells every session, invoices for it and takes the payment. Justin Donnaruma is CEO of Don't Panic Consulting, Inc., which sells these sessions, and Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer (CInO) of AOCyber, which builds AI governance and security products. Neither company's products are taught or sold in a session.

Something about the session doesn't work for me.

Email justin@donnaruma.us and say what you need. If the site gets in your way, Justin will help you register another way.
