Closable-or-open sorter

Sort a week's tasks into “AI can finish it” and “AI can help you think”.

The sorter asks the two questions from Closable or open? about each task on your list: can you write down what a correct result looks like, and does anyone get to react after you act? Answer them and it sorts your tasks, with a line on how to work with AI on each kind.

It runs on this page and sends nothing: what you type stays on your device. Copy or print the result when you're done.

How to use it

  1. List the tasks from a normal week. Ten is plenty, and short descriptions are fine.
  2. Answer the questions for each task honestly. If you're not sure, choose the more careful answer.
  3. For closable tasks, write the check you'll use before you hand them over.
  4. For open tasks, ask the AI for options and the case against each, and keep the decision yourself.
  5. Anything you can't undo, slow down on, wherever it lands. See One-way doors.

It works on paper too: print it blank and fill it in by hand. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere. Reload the page and it's gone.

No sign-up. This tool runs in your browser: this page makes no network requests, and nothing you choose is sent anywhere.
